We are excited to announce we have received a Golden Leaf grant allowing us to purchase and implement a 1:1 blended learning environment for the 2016 - 2017 school year. †This ultimately means that every student will have access to a wireless device, every day. †This is changing what teaching and learning looks like at our school. †Blended learning†is a formal education program in which a student learns at least in part through delivery of content and instruction via digital and online media with some element of student control over time, place, path, or pace.

Our vision is to provide a†personalized†use of technology to promote teacher facilitated
blended†learning insupport of our teaching and learning goals.

Belief Statements:

* We believe this fosters†innovation, creativity, and academic achievement.
* We believe this developscollaboration among teachers and students.
* We believe this prepares students for college and careers.
* We believe this offers educators the opportunity to reach all learners.

Why Consider A Blended Learning Environment??
1. †To transform what the classroom is and what we can DO in the classroom.
2. †To use technology as a TOOL to improve and enhance teaching and learning.
3. †To prepare students for THEIR future, not ours.
4. †To empower students to take ownership of their learning.
5. †To engage students in creating content, collaboration with others and making connections.
6. †To remove constraints of traditional classroom and schools - time, location and audience.
7. †To provide meaningful and authentic learning experiences for students and teachers.
8. †To facilitate home/school communications and connections.
